I had a great time dressing up for my good friends’ Tina & Tomo’s wedding this past weekend. Tina loves vintage and I love all the details that she put into her late afternoon garden wedding.
Lighted Mason jars & chinese lanterns hanging from the trees.
The buffet was simple yet delicious. It really reflected the couple’s taste in food.
They even had lechon but I got too excited to eat it that I forgot to take a picture :p.
My favorite part of the buffet – desserts!
She indicated that the attire was Garden Cocktail Party and we weren’t allowed to wear heels (gasp!) since they might sink into the grounds of the garden. I had no problems with the dress since I’ve had it in my closet for a long while now – try 5 years 😉 The shoes posed a huge problem for me as I’ve never worn wedges in my whole life and flats were out of the question given the style of my dress.
It took me a whole week to find the perfect shoes but I am so glad that I didn’t just buy whatever I could get my hands on. A day before the wedding, I scoured SM Makati and found these retro-inspired wedges for only PHP 800 (Roughly $18)! It was exactly what I had in mind and I can say that they are super comfy since I had to wear it for 3 hours without sitting down.
I love the texture of the shoes.
Here was my outfit of the day:
With the beautiful bride, Tina & spiffy groom, Tomo 🙂
Congratulations Tina & Tomo!
I’m so glad I got to see you guys tie the knot 😀
